However the bill, which would have affected the estimated 150,000 Minnesota Muslims, was dropped after the Minnesota Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and interfaith leaders united in opposition to the bill.

U.S. citizen stranded overseas seeks to visit terminally-ill mother in Oklahoma
(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, 11/1/12) -- On Monday, November 5, the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK) will hold a news conference in Oklahoma City to call for the return to the United States of a Muslim citizen currently stranded overseas apparently because he has been placed on the U.S. government's no-fly list. The man wishes to return to Oklahoma to visit his terminally-ill mother.
