CAIR Offers Free 'Muslim Voter Power' Posters, Lawn Signs to Mosques
Action: Request get-out-the-vote materials and display them prominently

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/16/2012) -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today announced that it is offering free "MVP - Muslim Voter Power" get-out-the-vote posters and lawn signs designed to encourage Muslims to vote in next month's presidential election to mosques and other Islamic institutions nationwide. (NOTE: Quantities are limited.)

CAIR's election materials include the text "All-American MVP, Muslim Voter Power, Make a difference."

CAIR acquired a national list of registered Muslims voters. CAIR chapters around the nation are currently conducting non-partisan efforts to turn out those Muslim voters in November.

In addition, CAIR is providing the American Muslim community with a number of items designed to maximize voter participation:

• CAIR partnered with the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) as part of its efforts to empower minority voters. CAIR is encouraging supporters to join ADC's voter protection unit.
• CAIR also provides the community with voter guides that provide information on presidential candidates, as well as data on times polls are open and what to take with you when you vote.
• Last December, CAIR launched the Twitter hashtag "#MuslimsVote." Muslims who use twitter are urged to monitor the hashtag.
